Juan Pedro Ochoa
Senior Researcher
Juan Pedro Ochoa-Ricoux is an academic at the University of California, Irvine. He holds a PhD in physics from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). He worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Berkeley. He then came to Chile to work as an academic at the Pontificia Universidad Católica.
His main areas of research are:
-Neutrinos: particles studied through international experiments such as Daya Bay, JUNO and DUNE.
Contributions:
-CERN's "Atlas" experiment and "LiquidO", an international collaborative initiative that seeks to create a new neutrino detector that will be a pioneer in this area.
