The Permanent Representative of Chile to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Geneva, Claudia Fuentes Julio, visited CERN in January to see in detail the experiments and the collaboration provided by the Millennium Institute SAPHIR, visited CERN in January to learn in detail about the experiments and the collaboration provided by the Millennium Institute SAPHIR.
In a protocol visit, the ambassador, Claudia Fuentes Julio, had the opportunity to know in detail the experiments in which the Millennium Institute SAPHIR is involved and the collaboration it provides in the field of particle physics. On the occasion she met with the alternate director of SAPHIR, Francisca Garay, who highlighted the contribution generated from our country for the development of the largest experiments in the world, which in addition to generating knowledge help to implement a network of international collaboration that allows greater progress in the understanding of subatomic particle physics and therefore in the understanding of nature. Garay also highlighted the fact that representatives of our country are becoming familiar with the development of these experiments, since in this way efforts can be made to try to give Chile a more prominent role in them.
