In Geneva, Switzerland, a significant meeting took place between the Millennium Institute SAPHIR and representatives of the Chilean Mission in Geneva, in which the scenario of international scientific cooperation was discussed and the work being carried out by the Institute at CERN was presented.
The meeting was attended by Francisco Carvajal, in charge of scientific issues and CERN in the mission, and representatives of the Millennium Institute SAPHIR: Felipe Olivares, executive director; Jack Brady, director of international relations and Jilberto Zamora, associate researcher and academic of the Faculty of Exact Sciences UNAB.
SAPHIR presented the progress and achievements to date in the Institute's collaboration with the European Organization for Nuclear Research and its contributions in the field of particle physics.
They also discussed possibilities for collaboration between the parties within the framework of strengthening research and development in the field of science in the country.
