Francisca Garay holds a BSc and MSc in physics from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, a PhD in experimental particle physics and she is professor at the Faculty of Physics of Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

As researcher and alternate director of the Saphir Millennium Institute, professor Garay seeks to contribute to particle physics from a theoretical perspective and applying this knowledge to the search for and study of particles using data from the Large Hadron Collider.
