Chile had an outstanding representation through Dr. Giovanna Cottin, associate researcher of the Millennium Institute SAPHIR and academic of the Institute of Physics of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She was the only Chilean representative at the meeting, where she presented her most recent work published in February of this year.
"It is the most important workshop in my area, about my research that connects neutrino mass models with dark matter and proposes exotic signals to search for this type of models in colliders," he said. Cottin also valued the opportunity to strengthen international networks: "This is my third time in Valencia. I have a great colleague here, Martin Hirsch, who also collaborates with other SAPHIR researchers in Chile. Participating in this workshop has been very special, and giving talks at conferences of this level is a recognition of the research and scientific work".
Over five days, the workshop offered an intensive program of scientific talks, thematic sessions and technical discussion spaces, with remote access available through Zoom and collaborative platforms. More details of the event are available on its official website: LLP2025: Fifteenth workshop of the Long-Lived Particle Community (June 2-6, 2025).
