RESEARCHERS

Giovanna Cottin

Young researcher

Giovanna specializes in particle phenomenology in theories beyond the Standard Model. She did her PhD in Physics at the University of Cambridge, UK. Subsequently, she did a postdoctoral stay at the National Taiwan University in Taipei and another one at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

She is currently an Assistant Professor at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Her research includes the study of predictions of new hypothetical particles in theories beyond the Standard Model of particle physics. She is interested in models that predict particles with long half-lives capable of explaining neutrino masses and dark matter, as well as the implications of their signals in high-energy physics experiments, such as the Large Hadron Collider at CERN.
