The Millennium Institute for Subatomic Physics at the High-Energy Frontier (SAPHIR) participated in the 1st Meeting with Engineering and Science Employers organized by the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (FCFM) of the University of Chile, held on Tuesday, May 27 at the Beauchef campus.

The Institute was represented by Felipe Olivares Leónexecutive director of SAPHIR, who valued the event positively: "These types of meetings are very valuable because they allow us to generate networking with different faculties, such as mechanical, electronic and computer engineering. At SAPHIR we are constantly looking for new professionals to join our projects and experiments, and these spaces are key for that", he said.he said.

During the day, in addition to strengthening ties with the academic units, the Institute took the opportunity to promote the CERN School of ComputingThe Institute took the opportunity to promote the CERN School of Computing, extending an invitation to the Faculty of Computing of the University of Chile to join this international initiative. "We want more Chilean institutions to join these high-level formative spaces, and to encourage the active participation of their students in global scientific contexts,"Olivares added.

SAPHIR's participation is part of an existing collaboration with the University of Chile, especially through the Department of Mechanical Engineering, which recently highlighted the role of the Institute as a professional practice space for students, thus strengthening the connection between academic training and frontier scientific research.
