RESEARCHERS

Jaime Romero

Young researcher

D. in Physics from the Universidad de Chile. Currently principal investigator of the Fondecyt Initiation project "Transient Monte Carlo in a research nuclear reactor with individual beta-delayed neutron precursors and comparison with time-dependent reactor experiments", whose objective is to develop "Monte Carlo" transient simulations of nuclear reactors that include the time dependence due to the emission of beta-delayed neutrons, in addition to experimental measurements in nuclear reactor RECH-1 to validate the simulations.

He is also co-investigator of the Fondecyt Regular Project "Cosmic Ray Neutron Spectroscopy and Local Variables simultaneous measurement studies throughout Chile", whose principal investigator is Dr. Francisco Molina.

Lines of research:

-Monte Carlo analog and non-analog Monte Carlo simulations applied to transport processes in nuclear physics

-Nuclear reactor physics

-Neutron spectroscopy.
