Jilberto Zamora
Research Associate
Jilberto Zamora is an academic at the Faculty of Exact Sciences of the Universidad Andrés Bello, a mechanical engineer from the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María and holds a PhD in science, mention in physics, from the same university. He also completed a postdoctorate at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR, Dubná, Russia).
His specialty is phenomenology in elementary particle physics, with special emphasis on neutrino physics, CP violation (charge-parity symmetry violation), processes that violate leptonic number and/or flavor, and cosmic ray physics.
In recent years he has shown interest and involvement in experimental particle physics, particularly in computational simulations of the passage of particles through matter. In this context, he participates in the Atlas, NA-64 and SND@LHC experiments, all located at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN).
