The LHC Masterclass is an international initiative to teach high school students about the particle physics of theLarge Hadron Collider (LHC).

This initiative brings together more than 52 countries and in Chile is promoted by the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, the Universidad Andrés Bello, the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, the Universidad de Tarapacá, the Universidad de La Serena, the Saphir Millennium Institute and the Centro Científico Tecnológico de Valparaíso (CCTVal).

The LHC Masterclass is aimed at physics teachers and their students. They can find out what the Large Hadron Collider and the Atlas experiment do and how they work, see the effects of cosmic rays, use real data collected by the LHC and perhaps even make discoveries with these data.

You can find out more about the LHC Masterclass on Facebook.
