Matias Liz

Industrial Mechanical Engineer

Matías Liz is an industrial mechanical engineer from the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María. He has worked as a mechanical designer of a neutron shield for the Scattering Neutrino Detector project and as a mechanical technician for the New Small Wheel of the Atlas project, both at CERN. He also worked as a mechanical designer at the Centro Científico Tecnológico de Valparaíso (CCTVal) and as project leader in the construction of calorimeters for the Shashlik project at Brookhaven National Laboratory.

His areas of specialisation are mechanical design, technical milling and manual or automatic lathe work.
