William Brooks
Research Associate
William K. Brooks is a physicist and mathematician with MS and PhD degrees in physics from Duke University, Durham, North Carolina.
Professor Brooks works in the area of experimental high-energy physics and particle physics, and since 2008 has led the research group in this area at the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María. He is currently an academic at this university, but also conducts experiments at the Jefferson Lab (Newport News, Virginia) and at the Atlas experiment at CERN. In addition, he has strived to contribute to the diversity of the study of physics by conducting research projects with students and young people from underrepresented groups.
