Yury Ivanov
Assistant Researcher
Yury Ivanov is an academician of the Faculty of Exact Sciences of Andres Bello University. He graduated from the Physics Department of Moscow State University. From 1980, he worked at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR, Dubna, Russia) and obtained his Ph.D. in Physics and Mathematics at the Laboratory of Theoretical Physics of that institute.
Between 1999 and 2003, Ivanov worked at the Institute for Theoretical Physics (ITP) at the University of Heidelberg (Germany). In 2003 he specialized in network technologies and in 2004 he started working as system administrator of the JINR LCG2 (part of the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid project ). Between 2007 and 2021 he worked as a researcher and system administrator at the data center of the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María and the Centro Científico Tecnológico de Valparaíso (CCTVal). Since August 2021, he has been working as an academic at the Faculty of Exact Sciences of the Universidad Andrés Bello.
