From the Millennium Institute SAPHIR, we want to share the excellent news that our researchers have been distinguished with FONDECYT Regular funding for the period 2024. This achievement is the result of their dedication and effort in the search for new advances in particle physics.

On this occasion, we highlight the five awarded projects and their respective leaders:

Sergey Kuleshov, Director of the Millennium Institute SAPHIR and academic of the Faculty of Exact Sciences of the Universidad Andrés Bello.

-Project: "Modern experiment, detectors and methods for high energy physics".

Francisca Garay, Deputy Director of the Millennium Institute SAPHIR and academic of the Physics Institute of the Catholic University of Chile.

Project: "Long-lived particles as means of new physics in particle colliders".

Jilberto Zamora, Associate Researcher at the Millennium Institute SAPHIR and academic of the Faculty of Exact Sciences of Universidad Andrés Bello.

Project: "Experiments and detectors for Long-Lived particle searches, and particle detector application in monitoring the radon gas concentration in Chile".

Juan Carlos Helo, Associate Researcher and Director of the Physics Department, Universidad de la Serena.

Project: "Exploring the Lifetime Frontier: Novel Searches for New Physics in Particle Colliders".

5. Pablo Ulloa, Adjunct Researcher Millennium Institute SAPHIR and academic Universidad de la Serena.

Project: "Research and Development for the new ATLAS TGC Charge Monitoring System in the High Luminosity LHC and identification of its performance limits".

This award symbolizes the excellence of our researchers in contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field of particle physics. We congratulate each of them and hope that these projects will continue to drive scientific development in our institution and internationally.
