The science outreach group, Niñas Atómicas, was part of the stands that made up the fair. In addition, our deputy director and UC academic, Francisca Garay, presented her experience as a scientist and in higher education.

A scientific fair organized by the Science 2023 UC project and the PEM UC program was the PEM UC program, was held at the San Joaquín Campus of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. The event was attended by four academics from the same university who presented their experience in the field of STEM.

One of them was our deputy director Francisca Garay, who is also an academic of the Faculty of Physics UC. She spoke about her participation as a researcher in the Large Hadron Collider experiment or LHC (for its acronym in English) of the European Organization for Nuclear Research CERN.

In addition, representatives of the Atomic Girls outreach group participated in the fair, showing the operation of muon detectors. It should be noted that this initiative is led by our researchers Giovanna Cottin and Francisca Garay.
